Steps to install Selenium webdriver
1: Install Java on your computer. Download and install the Java Software Development Kit (JDK)
2: Install Eclipses IDE
3 : Download the Selenium Java Client Driver
4: Create a New project in Eclipse
5: Write your programs
Install Java on your computer. Download and install the Java Software Development Kit (JDK)
Search for Download java jdk 1.7. in Google
Click on Link “ java SE Developmenet kit 7-Downloads.
Accept License Agreement> If your System is 32 bit click on Windows x86 otherwise click on Windows x64
After Downloading Double click on Jar file.>Go to downloads folder.
Click on Yes Button>Click on Next Button
Click on Next Button> One Message will appear With Installing Java Runtime Environment
Click on Next Button.>One Message will appear with Registering Java Runtime Environment.
Step 7 and 8:-
Close the Java Installation window> After Installation of Java to Confirm whether it is Successfully Installed or not
Go to— “C:\ProgramFiles”—Open Java Folder Verify Folder of “JDK 1.7.0_79
Download and Install Eclipse IDE
Open Google and Search For “Download Eclipse”> Download from http://eclipse.org/Downloads/
If your System is 32 bit click on 32 bit otherwise click on 64 bit
Click on “Download” Latest version of Eclipse
“eclipse-jee-mars-1 win32.zip” Zip file can be seen once downloaded, in the downloads folder
Select Zip file —Right Click, select —Extract Files
Open Extracted Eclipse folder
we can find a sub-folder “Eclipse” In this folder
Download the Selenium Java Client Driver
Download the Selenium Java Client Driver from http://docs.seleniumhq.org/download
Create a New project in Eclipse
Open the Eclipse folder>Click on Eclipse.exe
Browse and select Workspace folder to save your future Programs
Click on Workbench Icon
To Create Project,
In Project Explorer — Go to –File—New—Select Project.
Select Java Folder
Select Java project under Java folder>Click on Next Button
Enter Project name(ex:Selenium)> click on Next Button.
Expand Project Folder.
And u will see 2 sub folders—SRC-and –JRE Folders.
Select Src Folder—Right click –New—package>
Enter Package name—click on Finish
>Select package folder – Right Click—>New—>Class.>Enter Class name.
>Select First Checkbox mentioning “public static void main”.>Click on next button.
You will now see the class file created under the package in the package explore.
In the right side pane, see the code for the class.
Add Jar Files to the Library:
Right-click on My Project and select “Build Path” and then “Configure Build Path”.
will open the Libraries tab in Properties dialog. Then on click “Add External JARs…”
Navigate to D:\selenium-2.43.0\ (or any other location where you saved the extracted contents of “selenium-2.43.0.zip”).
Add all the JAR files inside and outside the “libs” folder,
These are the Jar files present outside the Libs folder
Finally, click on the OK button and we are done with importing Selenium libraries .
